The Taramps TL 1500 digital amplifier unit is designed to deliver high-quality sound for both original and modified car audio systems. This unit provides 390 watts of power distributed across three channels: two stereo channels at 95 watts RMS each at 2 ohms impedance, and one subwoofer channel at 200 watts RMS at 4 ohms impedance.
It features bass boost, RCA inputs, and an ART (Artificial Audio) input that detects sound and automatically powers the amplifier, eliminating the need for a remote control. It can be used to power subwoofers, woofers, tweeters, mid-range tweeters, mid-bass tweeters, and more.
These features are ideal for amplifying the sound of car speakers, car boxes, pickup trucks, SUVs, two-way, coaxial, three-axis, four-axis audio systems, 4", 6", 6x9", 5x7" sizes, Trio and Trium boxes, Bob boxes, home audio kits, 6-channel audio kits, and more.
TL 1500 Upgrade your car's sound system using high-quality Taramps products.
Technical specifications:
• Operating category: Category D.
This indicates that the Class D amplifier construction (also called fingerprinting) due to the use of pulse width modulation (PWM) in its operation allows for a small, efficient, and low-heat amplifier compared to other build classes.
• Number of channels: 3.
The number of channels available for use in your project. With this particular model, you have the option of connecting to either three or two channels.
• Power at 13.8V - 2 ohms, Stereo: 2 x 95W RMS.
Power, at a voltage of 13.8 volts, is linked to the operation of the vehicle/power source.
• Power at 13.8V - 4 ohms: 1 x 200W RMS.
Power, at a voltage of 13.8 volts, is linked to the operation of the vehicle/power source.
• Minimum stereo output impedance: 2 ohms.
The connection to the speaker output, where we can, for example, connect two 4-ohm speakers through a single channel to get this output.
• Minimum output impedance of the subwoofer: 4 ohms.
This relates to the outcome of the speakers, where, for example, we can connect two 2+2 ohm dual-coil speakers on an 8 ohm amplifier channel in series and parallel, or one 2+2 ohm amplifier in series, or four 2+2 ohm amplifiers in series and parallel, or just one 4 ohm amplifier for this outcome.
• Minimum RCA input sensitivity: 320 mV.
It takes less effort to get the best results with the amplifier, i.e. with a low radio volume, and we will indeed get good results.
• Minimum input sensitivity for the wire: 6 volts.
It takes less effort to get the best results with the amplifier, i.e. with a low radio volume, and we will indeed get good results.
• Stereo frequency response: (full range): from 90 Hz to 30 kHz (-3 dB).
Through the frequency response, the application of the amplifier can be determined, as well as the amplifier or any other type of converter you are using, which is understood within this answer, i.e., we can use this product in your project.
• Sub-frequency response: 15 Hz to 90 Hz with active frequency cutoff (-12 dB/v).
Through the frequency response, the application of the amplifier can be determined, as well as the amplifier or any other type of converter you are using, which is understood within this answer, i.e., we can use this product in your project.
• Bass boost: Adjustable from 0 to 10 dB at 50 Hz.
Bass boosting is the sound renewal of the sub-channel of a speaker, or it is a "more" renewal of the sub-channels.
• Power voltage: 9 to 16 volts.
It is the amplifier's operating indicator, where it will have the minimum and maximum voltage to operate, and outside of these specifications it will not operate or the protection will be activated.
• Consumption at rest: 0.75a.
This is a reference for speaker consumption with and without music playing.
• Maximum music consumption: @13.8V DC: 17.5A.
This is an estimated power consumption for a speaker operating with the lowest resistance, playing music at maximum volume.
• Maximum power consumption in the pocket signal: 35 amps.
Reference for laboratory/laboratory tests under specific conditions with a resistive load, constant frequency, and stable power supply.
• Protection system: thermal and short circuit at the outlet.
This system exists to protect the operation of the speaker, and may be related to the output, when we have connections below the minimum resistance, a short circuit in the installation, or even speakers with problems.
This protection may also be caused by voltages outside the operating range, or by thermal protection caused by conditions in which the amplifier has a higher than normal temperature.
• Dimensions: Width 13.8 cm × Height 4.9 cm × Depth 12.1 cm.
Maximum product dimensions.
• Weight: 600 grams.
The total weight of the amplifier.
